Wine bars

A wine bar should not be just a shelf of bottles or an excuse to charge for a glass without conversation. When it works, it is something else: a place where wine shapes the plan, where you can ask without feeling examined and where the bottle —or the glass— finds food, rhythm and context.

This selection brings together wine bars, bottle-led places and addresses where drinking well in Alicante has real intention. Some will be closer to a shop with corkage; others to a bar with a small kitchen; others to a table where wine accompanies product and conversation. What matters is that wine is not decorative, but central or at least a serious part of the experience.

We are interested in places to discover labels, order a glass with confidence or build a night without needing a formal restaurant. Drinking well is also a way of choosing the city better.
